Going Hard for a Healthier Lifestyle

I have never been health conscious or athletic. The most active I have ever been is when I was in elementary school and used to play double-dutch before and after school.

Since then, I have been a bit of a couch potato. But when I started working from home in February, I realized I had to make a change. I was having a hard time staying focused and every time I ate, all I wanted to do was take a nap.

I was already working out in my living room until I got sick and just stopped working out. Then it got warm and I began taking walks around my complex and knew I found my activity.

I have been going HARD. I am so determined to be team beach body for my brother’s wedding in Jamaica in 2014. I try to walk twice a day for at least 30 minutes and thanks to the My Fitness Pal App, I have been able to track my calorie intake and it’s been good until I start wanting a snack. Curse this sweet tooth of mine, but I got something for that.

Today, I made some homemade Popsicles made with some left over watermelon juice from a homemade fruit salad, two boxes of gelatin and some frozen peaches and strawberries. Yummy!!!
