Today is my 27th birthday and I have to tell you, I don’t feel a day over 21. I still feel like that kid fresh out of college determined to make the world my oyster.
But if I am being completely honest, the past couple of weeks have been rough. I have been an emotional wreck, not about my age, just about the difficulties of this journey called life.
Know that I won’t ever let that stop me, but to keep me on track, I’ve written a short manifesto for this year in exactly 100 words. Here it is:
Bright colors, a red lip and heels make crappy days better.
If you are comfortable with your decision, that’s all that matters.
Never stop dreaming
…or believing in the seemingly impossible.
Every success story includes some failures and back-steps along the way.
This too shall pass.
You are worth it.
Gratitude is your best weapon.
Let your light shine bright in everything you do.
Are your actions aligning with your words?
Give more of yourself. You have more to offer than you think.
A person’s energy is very telling.
Accept love.
Give love.
Face it courageously!
Keep smiling.
And breathe.
Happy birthday to me!
