OMG Pinterest

Why is it that when you have off, you don’t get nearly as much done as you want? Or is that just me?

That was my situation yesterday. I had off because I worked the weekend and I had it all figured out. I would write a couple posts because let’s be honest, I have been slacking something serious. I cleaned the apartment from top-to-bottom on Friday so I didn’t have to worry about that. And dinner would be a breeze because all I had to do was throw ribs in the oven for the fiancé and warm up some meatless meatballs that I had frozen when I made them.

My plan was to write and write is absolutely what I didn’t do. Instead, I found myself doing everything but including making a bread pudding, which you will see very soon.

The truth is, I got caught up looking up wedding ideas in a magazine that my sister-in-law’s mother saved for me. I felt so inspired that I spent that entire day, yes the entire day, browsing Pinterest for ideas and OMG is all I have to say.

Now I completely understand why the first thing people said when I got engaged is that I have to sign up for an account. It literally has everything you could ever think of and not think of like a bride’s survival kit, games for the bachelorette party and cool ways to do save-the-dates and photographs. It’s awesome. I still can’t believe it took me so long to finally commit to it.

Though I haven’t made any concrete plans, Pinterest has really taught me a lot about my interests. Here is what I have learned:

1. I love the idea of an evening wedding with candles and lights everywhere

2. I want a colorful wedding with unique and unexpected colors

3. I love dainty looking center pieces and wedding favorites
